Return Material Authorization

Prior to shipping any equipment back to International Light Technologies for service including routine re-calibration, a Return Material Authorization must be obtained by using the RMA Form on this Web site (the preferred method - link below) or by contacting our Customer Service Department by phone or fax.

Goods received with no paperwork are assessed a $25.00 (US) handling fee. Please be sure to include a packing list on the OUTSIDE of all shipments.

Any equipment received for service without an RMA in our system will be held in quarantine pending confirmation and service will likely be delayed.

When requesting an RMA, please provide the following information:

This includes any meters, detectors, or any elements attached to the detectors such as optical filters, diffusers, or input optics. ILT meters normally have a model/serial number label attached to the back or the rear panel. ILT detectors have an ILT model/serial number label attached to the side of the detector head. Attached elements such as filters, diffusers, and input optics are normally screwed into the face of the detector and have model number and serial number information etched on the side.

  • Model number and serial number information of all equipment being returned.
  • Bill to: and ship to: address information including point of contact, phone and fax numbers, special delivery identifiers (room number, building number, door, etc.).
  • Please specify the service requested, calibration or repair. Please document to the best of your ability any malfunctions or damage when sending equipment to ILT for repair.
  • Please document any special calibration requirements (specific wavelengths, distances, etc.)
  • Please specify return shipment method, including carrier and level of service. Shipment cost is prepaid and added to the invoice unless otherwise specified. If collect shipment is required, please provide the shipping account number for the carrier of choice.

ILT requires the purchase order number or credit card information by phone at the time the RMA is requested. We cannot issue an RMA number without this information.

It is important that this procedure be followed and all information be provided when obtaining an RMA number in order to ensure prompt, accurate service of your equipment.
