About the Opportunity
Join world-class experts in finding answers to our customer's toughest questions as a Quality Inspector in Ocean's Light Technologies organization. You will be responsible for performing standardized quality control checks on our company products to ensure they meet the required legal, environmental and company standards for safety and quality. You may also be required to prepare test data and identify areas of quality control improvement within an ISO 9001 environment.
To ensure success as a Quality Inspector, you should have a strong working knowledge of mathematical concepts, excellent visual awareness, and the ability to work with minimal supervision. Ultimately, a Quality Inspector can efficiently monitor the integrity and quality of products without impeding production rates.
Through a natural curiosity and passion for servicing our customers, the successful candidate will:
- Enter and maintain documentation and records necessary in support of production processes, testing and inspection
- Verify test reports are accurate and complete
- Inspect raw materials, in-process and finished goods and products according to quality and safety standards
- Maintain Calibration tools & equipment in IL database
- Monitor testing procedures and processes to ensure tests performed are done according to item specifications, protocols, and standard test methods
- Ensure test equipment is calibrated and working correctly
- Data collection for KPI’s (Key Performance Indicators) quality reports
- Identify possible areas for improvement in quality control processes
- Involved in MRB and RMA processing and decision making
- Maintain clear and concise records to comply with internal and external regulations
- Understand and comply with Ocean’s policies, procedures and instructions to ensure product quality, customer satisfaction, attainment of business goals and environmental well-being

About the Candidate
Our ideal candidate will bring a wealth of broad business development experience and should possess:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- 2 + years’ experience as an Inspector or quality technician preferred
- Good teamwork and interpersonal communication skills
- Understanding of mathematical concepts, quality tools and sampling plans
- Ability to analyse and interpret drawings, specifications, and other technical information
- Familiarity with basic dimensional/electrical tolerancing and test
- Skilled in basic computer software such as Microsoft Excel, Word, Access
- Experience with internal auditing a plus
- Basic knowledge of MRP systems
- Some lifting required of up to 20 lbs
- High standard of ethics and integrity

About the Opportunity

The IT Operations Analyst provides desktop, application, mobile device, and peripheral support to Ocean’s end users, including on-site and remote support for employees at all levels of the business. The IT Operations Analyst is responsible for the provisioning and maintenance of all employee workstations, including deployment of software images, updates, and packages, and the installation of computer, network, and peripheral equipment throughout the organization. This position is based out of the Peabody, MA office.
You will engage with customers across industries and company sizes to identify opportunities to exceed customers’ expectations and help them achieve their goals.
Through a natural curiosity and passion for servicing our customers, the successful candidate will:
- Provide front-line and back-end technical support to users in multiple geographic regions within the United States
- Prioritize requests according to business criticality to achieve prompt issue resolution within established Service Level Agreements
- Create, maintain, and update systems documentation
- Receive, review, and investigate automated reporting of desktop and infrastructure malfunctions or alerts
- Utilize, and evangelize on behalf of, issue reporting and tracking processes and procedures
- Provide training and instruction to users in one-on-one settings
- Deploy system images to employee workstations; maintains system images; provisions new images where appropriate
- Track and logs all IT inventory. Prepare decommissioned equipment for recycling or disposal
- Set up and configure computer, telephony, and AV equipment in offices and conference rooms
- Provision accounts, applications, mobile devices, and network resources for new hires
- Ensure security and application updates are installed and up-to-date on workstations throughout the organization
- Receive, review, and responds to trouble tickets and problem reports. Prioritize and classify inbound requests. Communicate status updates to end users
- Perform routine server application troubleshooting in accordance with documented procedures
- Diagnose and repair basic hardware and computer equipment failures; identify and replace failed components; installs memory, storage, and processors as directed
- Regularly audit updates, patches, and licensing compliancy on workstations in the organization
- Solicit feedback from contacts throughout the organization to maintain high levels of customer satisfaction
- When necessary, identify appropriate escalation paths, and engage appropriate resources to drive reported issues to resolution

- Troubleshoot application and system errors and apply industry standard best-practices solutions to problems with email, applications, permissions, messaging, operating systems, mobile devices, remote connections, file shares, Microsoft 365, anti-virus software, wired and wireless networks, and operating systems

About the Candidate
The ideal candidate is highly skilled in complex problem solving, leveraging expert technical knowledge of Windows operating systems and office applications to quickly remediate user issues in an enterprise environment, and has a working knowledge of core computer networking concepts to troubleshoot and correct basic to intermediate connectivity problems with wired, wireless, and virtual private networks. The successful candidate has both strong troubleshooting and customer service skills and can effectively prioritize and communicate in a high-stakes, fast-paced operating environment.
