About the Opportunity

 

Join world-class experts in finding answers to our customers toughest questions as a Systems Assembler in Ocean’s Light Technologies organization designed to bring deep understanding of internal and external trends and process to drive growth. As our Systems Assembler, you will perform a variety of tasks involved in the conversion of raw materials into finished goods, being responsible for the assembly, soldering, rework and inspection of various electronic, optical electronic components, PC boards, optical components, lamps and LED’s.

Through a natural curiosity, passion, initiative and independent judgement, the successful candidate will:

  • Hand solder printed circuit boards for instruments, detectors and connectors
  • Solder wires
  • Apply shrink tubing
  • Assemble instruments, detectors and sub-assemblies with little supervision
  • Paint, epoxy, engrave and test various optical assemblies and detectors
  • Perform inline testing, monitor quality, track and document results
  • Perform repairs on detectors and optical assemblies in for service
  • Follow work orders, report shortages and/or discrepancies, log serial numbers
  • Perform basic operations using test equipment and industrial controllers to test and calibrate equipment, documenting test results
  • Ensure proper procedures are followed and quality standards are maintained
  • Maintain a clean, safe and organized work area
  • Regular, dependable and punctual attendance is an essential function of this job

About the candidate

Our ideal candidate will bring the following knowledge and experience:

  • Ability to use Venires, Calipers
  • Have working knowledge of work orders, process sheets, engineering drawings, specifications and documentations
  • Have full understanding and practices of proper material handling
  • Experience in use of hand tools (wire strippers, pliers, cutters, termination tools, heat gun)
  • Proficient in electrical and mechanical assembly
  • Flexibility to learn other production areas within Ocean’s Light Technologies organization
  • Attention to detail, able to use soldering tools, good dexterity, ability to multi-task, and ability to work alone and in groups
  • Ability to learn new skills in a timely manner, interpret visual aids and work overtime when needed

Minimum Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • One to three years of experience working with electronic instruments and repairs
  • Knowledge in Excel and other Microsoft applications (PPT, Outlook, etc.) desired
  • Knowledge of KPI’s and how they can contribute
  • Ability to think and act quickly
  • Ability to read schematics
  • Ability to complete IPC-J-STD-001 solder certification within one year
  • Excellent oral and written communications skills

You will work directly with customers, others in the sales team, as well as our engineering and operations teams to achieve our sales objectives. You will be closing net-new business while fostering positive and collaborative relationships with prospects to learn about, engage with and implement products that unlock the unknown.  You will partner with customers to understand their needs, determine the right products to meet these needs and engage outside sales team members to in-order-to expand Ocean’s offerings and solutions into those customers in the most timely and effective way.

You will engage with customers across industries and company sizes to identify opportunities to exceed customers’ expectations and help them achieve their goals.

  • Develop sales opportunities by researching and identifying potential accounts and proactively engage new customers

About the Candidate

Our ideal candidate will bring a wealth of broad business development experience and should possess:

  • 2+ years of technical customer service and inside sales experience required
  • Bachelor’s degree is preferred – Sales, Marketing, Business, Communications, Engineering or related sciences desirable
  • Strong account management with CRM proficiency, Salesforce experience is helpful

About the Opportunity

You will be responsible for performing standardized quality control checks on our company products to ensure they meet the required legal, environmental and company standards for safety and quality. You may also be required to prepare test data and identify areas of quality control improvement within an ISO 9001 environment.

To ensure success as a Quality Inspector, you should have a strong working knowledge of mathematical concepts, excellent visual awareness, and the ability to work with minimal supervision. Ultimately, a Quality Inspector can efficiently monitor the integrity and quality of products without impeding production rates.

Through a natural curiosity and passion for servicing our customers, the successful candidate will:  

  • Enter and maintain documentation and records necessary in support of production processes, testing and inspection
  • Verify test reports are accurate and complete
  • Inspect raw materials, in-process and finished goods and products according to quality and safety standards
  • Maintain Calibration tools & equipment in IL database
  • Monitor testing procedures and processes to ensure tests performed are done according to item specifications, protocols, and standard test methods

About the Candidate

About the Opportunity

As a collaborative Engineer, you will:

  • Work with a team of driven, supportive, and highly skilled professionals in the development of International Lights next-generation electrical and firmware architectures
  • Ability to design and develop scalable firmware and architecture for use in scientific and industrial product applications with a background in Electrical Engineering.
  • Utilize electrical engineering expertise in a multidisciplinary team to design, build, and test new solutions to meet customer requirements and specifications for light measurement applications.

About the Candidate

Our ideal candidate brings a wealth of experience and should possess the following qualities/skills:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent technical discipline
  • 5+ years of work experience in technical development
  • Expert-level C/C++/C# firmware development, including low-level debugging
  • Embedded firmware, and application, deployment, and development.
  • Proficient with hardware debugging tools such as multimeters, oscilloscopes, logic analyzers.
  • Electrical circuit design (primarily low voltage DC)
